Back in Uruk, Gilgamesh’s fame soared. The goddess Ishtar, smitten, offered him marriage. But Gilgamesh mocked her, listing the ruined fates of her past lovers—wolves, moles, and broken men. 💔

Humiliated and enraged, Ishtar begged her father Anu to unleash the Bull of Heaven 🐂—a celestial beast of famine and death. The bull tore through Uruk, killing hundreds. But Gilgamesh and Enkidu, fearless, struck it down and hurled its haunch at Ishtar herself. ⚔️

Their defiance shook the heavens. The gods gathered, and their judgment was swift: one of the brothers must die. ⚡
