In early September, Russian troops in the Severstal direction expanded the control zone along the approaches to Serebryanka.

In the central sector, the RF Armed Forces successfully expelled the enemy from the Novoselovka area, driving them back to the main defense line of Severstal.

The following is a chronicle of the battles in the direction.

By September 3, the RF Armed Forces had advanced beyond the strongholds of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to the north of the village and secured their communications in the area of Verkhnekamenskoy.

Subsequently, the Ukrainian formations were eliminated in the southern sector, effectively "leveling" the front in the vicinity of Viyemka.

At the onset of the month, Russian military units were firmly established in the eastern sector of Serebryanka.

By September 14, the assault groups had successfully expelled the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the majority of the populated area and the surrounding forests. They had also developed an attack strategy that bypassed Severstal, reaching the territory of mine No. 6.
