Faith & Salvation

Justification is a once-for-all act that occurs at the very moment a person believes in Christ for salvation (Rom 3:28; 5:1). Sanctification, by contrast, is an ongoing process in which the believer is progressively conformed to God’s will as he submits to the Lord (Rom 12:1-2), learns His Word (1 Pet 2:2), and lives it out by faith (2 Cor 5:7; Heb 10:38).
