That Time Rick Astley Ran For President & I Was His Campaign Manager

As you might already know...I like to mix 80s songs & add some things here & there. It turns out Rick Astley knew too (it could happen) and decided to Run for President (of Funkytown)! Of course Rick Astley asked me, Gabriel, to make an awesome mix for his campaign. You probably remember the ladies of Lipps Inc were his VP candidates because in truth, it's better to have at least 3 Funkytown Dancers as Vice Presidents in case one stops being funky or another gets tired of doing the same 2 dance moves next to Rick Astley...it's a demanding job, VP of Funkytown and you can imagine the burden this put on Rick Astley...who ultimately abandoned his campaign to be President of Funkytown but not before I had already put together this awesome mix which I will play for you now...introduced by the Gap Band because he doesn't like to just jump out and tell everyone he's going to be President of Funkytown...therefore, he asked The Gap Band to drop a proverbial funk bomb on Funkytown.

Don't worry...funk bombs implode & just create more funk. They aren't dangerous...just funky. The Gap Band drops one & then Rick gives his speech...and very movingly tells his audience his 8 point checklist which I'm sure you all know by now as Rick has had that failed campaign poster pinned up all over social media ever since...but we are going to honor ricks brief moment in the sun...in Funkytown
