Welcome to the show!

We're exploring ways to bring our research to the public in interesting and exciting ways. This new format, inspired by the legendary Oversimplied, addresses the history of Jerusalem up to the point of conquest by the Islamic forces under the guidance of Umar ibn al-Khattab.

The concept of perfect preservation of the Quran is a topic of much debate, particularly by scholars and Christian apologists. So, what would have happened if anyone asked Umar for the reasons of his actions? What would have been his response if asked to show the Quran, at a time when Islamic traditions say it was memorized instead of written and widely distributed.

Join us as we have fun with this topic, we go very loud and silly with the material, and showcase problems with the narrative going back to the 7th century. Problems, moreover, which are only recently being explored by the wider community.

Let us know if you like this "Oversimplified" format, or let us know if there are other ways of delivery we can pursue in order to make the material more engaging to you.

Thank you for your support! :)
