THE BOCC PRESENTS “Genesis 10 & 35 Explained: God’s Nations and Christ’s Kingdom for Israel”
Scripture defines people groups by families, tongues, lands, and nations (Genesis 10), and then narrows to one covenant nation through Jacob/Israel (Genesis 35). That line carries the royal promise to Messiah, who will reign over the house of Jacob forever.
What we’ll cover:
• Genesis 10 — the Table of Nations: how God organized humanity after the flood.
• Genesis 35 — Jacob renamed Israel, becoming the progenitor of the covenant nation.
• 2 Samuel 7:21–26 — the Davidic covenant: an everlasting throne.
• Luke 1:31–33 — angelic promise: Jesus will sit on David’s throne and rule Jacob’s house forever.
• Daniel 2:44; 7:27 — God’s kingdom crushes all others; the saints of the Most High receive and possess the kingdom.
Takeaways: God establishes nations, elects Israel for covenant purpose, and installs Christ as the promised King. Our response is to repent, return to the covenant, and live as citizens of the coming kingdom.
