Culture wars and capitalism

Culture wars and capitalism are interconnected and I have strong opinions on how this interconnection looks like. Blindly equating leftism with being pro-poor and conservatism with being pro-rich is too simplistic. The left has, in general, a more technical understanding of capitalism, but are too absorbed in pointless cultural debates. The right has a very idealistic view of capital and if you point out the flaws in their system, they reply with "oh, but that's not capitalisms fault, it's the globalists!".
