Three police officers who died in a railway explosion are being buried in Russia. The explosion occurred during an attempt to demine the tracks, as the war increasingly covers the deep rear of Russia.
Funerals were held in the Oryol region for three Russian police officers who blew themselves up while trying to demine the railway tracks. This was reported by the Telegram channel "Spy Dossier", which records losses among Russian security forces and the Russian army. According to the channel, on the morning of September 13, several improvised explosive devices were discovered between Glazunovka and the Maloarkhangelsk station. Sappers managed to defuse the first of them, but an explosion occurred while working on the second. Three fighters of the "Fortress" special unit of the Oryol regional administration of the National Guard of Russia were killed: Lieutenant Dmitry Baranov, Ensign Denis Oksov and Senior Sergeant Dmitry Astakhov.
Train traffic was restored only by the evening of the next day, September 14. Photos of the funeral of the Russian occupiers appeared on the network.
The latest loss is further evidence that the war is returning to the very heart of Russia, striking its security forces right on its own soil, social media noted.
Recall that the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) became the leader of the country's defense efforts thanks to its deep strike operations, using drones to destroy more than 200 targets in the Russian rear during the Russian invasion of Ukraine. In an interview with the Mi-Ukraine TV channel, the head of the SBU, Lieutenant General Vasyl Malyuk, spoke about the success of these operations and their impact on the battlefield.
"Our primary focus is on how to support the front and help soldiers on the front line. To date, we have attacked more than 200 facilities in the deep rear of Russia: military-industrial complexes, logistics centers and command posts. We also struck their oil and gas industries, which the Russian Defense Ministry finances with dirty rubles,” Malyuk said.
“The SBU’s Special Operations Center “A” played an important role in this, making it the flagship unit for airstrikes not only in the SBU but throughout Ukraine,” he stressed. The Ukrainian approach demonstrates the continued relevance of attacks on logistics and the ability of the enemy to form forces deep in the rear. Russian forces advanced, attacking Ukrainian logistics vehicles and warehouses up to 30 kilometers behind the front line, but Ukraine responded by striking the infrastructure that generates these forces thousands of kilometers away.
