New Retro | Dark Chambers [Atari 7800+] | Game that inspired Gauntlet

Picking up where I left off yesterday after internet outage ended that stream prematurely. I'm taking a look at one of only 2 new games I have bought this year, and surprisingly they were for an Atari system...The 7800. Specifically I am playing on an Atari 7800+, the new iteration that allows you to play the old cartridges from both the 2600 and 7800 on modern TVs with HDMI inputs. Better still, they are rereleasing many games on new cartridges and controllers as well...and these both also work with the original systems.

Anyway I am playing Dark Chambers this morning, a direct inspiration for the game Gauntlet which came out a few years later in arcades. I'll talk a little bit about the history while playing, but son't expect a deep analysis (I only glanced at the Wiki to get some info about it).
