Delicious recipe for lentil mash and chicken
Ingredients:
For Dal Mash: ,Dal Mash – 1 cup (cleaned and soaked, 2 hours) , Water – 3 cups ,Turmeric – 1/2 teaspoon
Salt – to taste, For Chicken: Chicken – 500 grams (boneless or boned, as desired) ,Onion – 2 medium (finely chopped) ,Tomato – 2 medium (chopped) ,Garlic ginger paste – 1 tablespoon ,Green chillies – 2-3 (chopped) ,Yogurt – 3 tablespoons (optional) ,Turmeric – 1/2 teaspoon ,Red chilli powder – 1 teaspoon ,Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon ,Garlic masala – 1/2 teaspoon , Salt – to taste ,Oil – 1/2 cup ,Green coriander – for garnish
Method / Recipe
Step 1: Boil the dal mash ,Wash the dal mash and soak it for 2 hours. ,In a pot, add the dal, water, turmeric and salt and boil it on medium heat. ,Cook the dal until it is completely cooked (but not completely mashable) and keep it aside. 2: Preparing the chicken masala ,Heat oil in a pan, add onion and fry till golden brown. Add garlic ginger paste and fry till fragrant. Then add chicken and fry well (5-7 minutes).Now add tomatoes, turmeric, red chilli, coriander powder, and salt. Add curd (if using) and cook the masala well till the oil separates. Step 3: Mix the lentils and chicken ,Add the boiled lentils to the chicken seasoning.Keep it on low for 5-10 minutes so that the flavors of the lentils and chicken blend together.Finally, add the hot spices, green chillies and coriander.
