IED: A PSYCHOLOGICAL WEAPON | VIDEO

PSYCHOLOGICAL WEAPON IN BALOCHISTAN:
The Baloch Liberation Army has increased its use of IEDs, turning these devices into a decisive psychological weapon that has left the enemy in disarray. IED stands for improvised explosive device and refers broadly to an explosive weapon assembled from non-military parts and concealed to detonate unexpectedly. This new strategy is not limited to small convoys anymore but now targets large military columns and critical installations, causing heavy casualties, material loss and above all damaging morale. Enemy soldiers now fear that every step could be their last, which paralyses their movements and undermines their operational plans. The BLA has combined available technology with greater planning, timing and target selection, causing these silent devices to produce significant tactical and psychological effects.
