The Bold Encourager Journal Episode 3: Ride the Waves of Difficulty & Never Give up!

I wrote this devotional in my journal back in 2011 when I was going through a very difficult season and I had just watched the movie "Soul Surfer", which was about a brave girl named Bethany Hamilton. I remember watching 13-year-old Bethany Hamilton telling her story of how a shark attacked her and took off her arm while she was surfing in 2003. I was living in Hawaii during the time this happened, and she broadcast to the world that she was going to continue to surf. I was so impressed with this girl's courage and how she continued to praise God through it all.

We all have experienced difficult seasons where we felt like we endured difficult waves or even our own type of shark attack (losing a loved one, losing a job, terminal illness, or just being lost). Please join me for this devotional about never giving up, no matter how difficult life gets. I will start with reading the devotional I wrote, share some insight about the devotional, share a few bible verses and conclude with prayer. Let's ride the waves of difficulty together and never give up on what God is calling us to do!
