After he said that, 8 people were wounded in a shooting at a homeless encampment in Minneapolis. This occurred hours after a separate shooting nearby injured 5 people. On the same day, two men were found hanging from trees in the Mississippi Delta. One was homeless and the other was a black man. Police say there was no foul play.
