Russian soldiers’ supplies are so low that they have almost no time for food, ammunition, and fuel. The occupiers have failed to organize a pipeline to meet the needs of the troop group.

In this case, the Russians complain about poor supplies, out-of-pocket expenses, and deadly delivery missions. An intercepted phone call released by Ukrainian military intelligence confirms this.

In the recording, a Russian serviceman described the shortage of basic supplies.

“They don’t give out gas canisters, damn it. We only get canned meat, grain, and cigarettes, and that’s it – nothing more. We have to buy the rest with our own money, or people send them from home,” someone could be heard saying.

The soldier added that the troops often rely on improvised crowdfunding to cover small needs.

“Yes, there is some minimal thing, people are throwing money away, buying the same lighters, damn it, because they don’t give anything else out,” he said.

“Two of our guys are already dead. One was wounded while carrying this food from point X to our positions,” he said in Russian.

HUR did not specify the time and place of the call, and Kyiv Post cannot independently verify its authenticity.

However, captured Chinese soldiers fighting alongside Moscow’s forces have made similar complaints about lack of supplies and having to pay out of pocket for basic necessities. Earlier last year, Kyiv Post also interviewed “Maria,” a professional HUR wiretapper, who said that the “crazy” things heard in the intercepted calls are actually real, despite their often outrageous nature. “They are all real, although they may seem crazy. Sometimes I can’t believe my own words, but we have what we have,” she said.

Officials said Ukrainian air force planes “delivered devastating strikes on enemy equipment and manpower concentrations, conducted air combat and intercepted air targets. But Russian forces elsewhere in Ukraine experienced another day of limited progress, with most forces largely stuck in place. Faced with an unpredictable response on Ukrainian soil, Russian forces are increasingly concentrating their air power and artillery on Ukrainian cities.
