Who is the Hero?
(Charlie Kirk Phenomenon Examined)

Text: 1Corintians 3:1-23; 1:11-29

Objective: that the brethren may not minimize the Lord’s role as our one true Saviour, even on the affairs of this life.

Intro:
Define – hero, saviour, self/glory
background – Charlie Kirk details and assassination and how he is perceived by religious and non-religious communities.
Biblical and non-biblical examples of influence grabbing.
Corinthian church struggle in sectarianism.

How and Where to Put our Faith on a Hero/Saviour:
1. Consider the propensity of humans to this reality – vv.1-4
a. Remember on how cults are run by cult leaders exalted inappropriately
2. Determine the Roles each figures of leadership do fill – vv. 5-11
a. Are we putting more expectation on people and their roles as we should?
3. Understand that Rewarding on earth and on heaven is different but have similarity – vv. 12-15
4. Leaders are Expected to be Wise – the right type of ‘wise’ – vv. 16-20
5. Let all Glory and Honor therefore be unto the one true Saviour – vv. 21-23

Message/conclusion:
Let us know where to put our trust and how. The Lord dominate having all the power in heaven and in earth to be our help in time of any need. Let that be our standard also in our lives as we lead others as well.
