B2Gold Ramps Up for 750k oz Growth With Goose, Back River and Gramalote in Focus

B2Gold (TSX: BTO; NYSE American: BTG) is aggressively expanding its production platform, delivering its first gold pour at the Goose Project in Nunavut, with full commercial production on track for Q4. In this exclusive interview from Mining Forum Americas 2025, Kitco Mining sits down with President and CEO Clive Johnson to unpack how the company is executing a multi-asset growth strategy amid record gold prices.

Goose is slated to hit 300,000 ounces per year, with a trucking initiative in the works that could boost output by another 180,000 ounces annually—without new plant construction. Johnson outlines how B2Gold’s proven mine-building track record and aggressive US$64 million exploration budget—half of which is dedicated to Nunavut—are positioning the company for long-term upside.

In Colombia, B2Gold’s 100% ownership of the Gramalote project brings a 240,000-ounce annual profile into the fold, with a 14-year mine life and sub-$1,000/oz AISC. “At current gold prices, this project shines,” says Johnson.

With roughly 750,000 ounces of new production capacity advancing toward reality, B2Gold is on the verge of re-rating as a mid-tier powerhouse.
