I didn't think Pasteis de Nata could get any better... then I fried it! Watch as I commit what might be the most delicious crime against portuguese food. This recipe will show you how to cook this iconic dessert with a crispy twist, turning the classic pasteis de nata into a fried treat!

Ingredients (≈14 pieces)
Custard
• 200 ml whole milk
• 50 ml whole milk
• 1 cinnamon stick
• 1 strip lemon peel
• 20 g butter
• 3 tbsp plain flour
• 2 tsp corn starch
• 180 g sugar
• 100 ml water
• 8 large egg yolks
Pastry & Finish
• 4-5 sheets filo pastry
• 80 g melted butter
• Oil for frying
• Icing sugar
• Ground cinnamon
