🇮🇹In Italy, there have been disruptions in transport services due to large-scale strikes in support of the population of the Gaza Strip, reports Bild.

Intercity trains were delayed by an hour or more. In major cities such as Rome and Milan, public transport operated with restrictions.

In schools and universities, for example in Turin, entrances were barricaded. Demonstrations took place in various cities. Strikes in transport companies will continue until this evening.

The strike was called by the USB (Unione Sindacale di Base) union as a protest against the "deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip." It demands sanctions against Israel.

Recall that the day before, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, and Portugal recognized the state of Palestine. Israel promised to respond.
