GEFNFL 48th Season Week 2

[Week 2 9/19/2025]

Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen, to the 48th season of the GE Friday Night Football League! (Note for those who are new and don't know: the "GE" part of the name is just where this league originated from and has nothing to do with the actual company itself.) With that out of the way, let's get this game started!

We started the game under overcast skies, with enough players to begin a 6 vs. 6 matchup. We switched to 8 vs. 8 once a couple more players showed up around the second quarter. The teams were pretty evenly matched throughout the game. The Red Team was the first to score, with a touchdown pass from Todd to Omar. The Blue Team scored their first touchdown on the next drive, with a touchdown pass from Tyler to Kyle.

The Red Team was quick to put up two more touchdowns, taking the lead before we switched from 6 vs. 6 to an 8 vs. 8 game. With a lot more players on the field, the Blue Team managed to put together another touchdown drive, finishing it off with a touchdown pass from Tony to Tyler. The Blue Team's defense managed to stop the Red Team's next drive at midfield and then put up another touchdown with a pass from Greg to Kyle, tying the game at 3-3.

From this point, there was a bit of a back-and-forth battle between the Red Team's and Blue Team's defenses. It was so intense that a buck and two does came by to check out the show right around halftime. The battle raged on through the third quarter until finally the Red Team was able to put up another touchdown with a pass from Chris to Todd. The Red Team then pinned the Blue Team at their 1-yard line, with Johan sacking the Blue Team's QB once and then deflecting another pass. The Red Team then got the ball back on the 1-yard line and put up another touchdown from Ben to Johan. (This might have been a career game for Johan.) The Blue Team then made one last drive back down the field for the final touchdown of the night, with a touchdown pass from Tony to Rylan.

This game turned out to be another awesome one for the GEFNFL's 48th season.
