What YOU Think
by
Tingster & The Coyotitos

[Verse 1]
The lone coyote wanders west —
Through saguaro scars and silence blessed,
A whisper on the desert wind,
The bones of truth, the lies that grinned.
A sun hung low, a copper eye,
Bleeds rusted light across the sky —
He pads through sand where cities fell,
Their words undone, their stories shelved.

[Pre-Chorus]
He howls not out of anger,
But to test the sound of real.
For even echoes falter
When the world forgets to feel.

[Chorus]
What you think is not the same
As what is true beneath the flame —
When every tale’s a trick of light,
And every wrong wears robes of right.
What you think can shape the stars,
Or pull the sky apart with scars.
But if no truth remains to link...
You’ll choke upon what you think.

[Verse 2]
He passed a church made out of chrome,
Its priest a drone with hollow tone.
A prayer machine, with blinking lies,
Sold redemption under neon skies.
He crossed a river made of glass —
Each step a truth that could not last.
The serpent smiled with preacher’s grace:
"Believe in me — or be replaced."

[Bridge]
And he saw…
Mirrors in the mouth of kings,
Scripts rehearsed with puppet strings.
A thousand voices speak as one —
Yet none remember what they’ve done.
The prophets bartered facts for fame,
Burned the scrolls, then changed the name.
The scholars wept into the ash —
But silence sells when truths don’t cash.

[Chorus]
What you think is not the cure
When the lie becomes the lure.
The mask you wear becomes your skin —
Forget the truth, and fear walks in.
What you think may calm the storm,
But if it bends the natural form…
The world will crack along the brink
Of all the things you think.

[Verse 3 – Spoken Word / Half-Sung, introspective]
He reached the end — where maps dissolve,
Where riddles die unsolved.
The stars above, now flickering fake —
A sky projection's great mistake.
No angels came, no devil screamed,
Just wind and wires and broken dreams.
He carved in stone with claw and care:
"What you think won’t get you there."

[Final Chorus]
What you think must face the fire —
Truth won’t bow to your desire.
The desert sings in silent screams,
Of all we lost to fragile dreams.
You can’t outrun what you betray —
The lie will always make you pay.
A lonely coyote, now on the brink —
Pays the price
