Day 266 – Israel’s Sin and God’s Call to Return — Hosea 6–9 | Bible In A Year (CSB)

Hosea pleads with Israel to return to the Lord, but their love proves shallow and fleeting. God exposes the depth of their corruption and warns of coming judgment, while still holding out the hope of renewal for those who turn back to Him.

Questions:
1. How does Hosea 6 challenge us to move beyond empty words of repentance to genuine faithfulness?

2. What does Israel’s shallow devotion teach us about the dangers of treating God casually or superficially?

3. How does God’s persistence in calling Israel back show us His character, even when His people are stubborn in sin?
