This paper deals with the Biblical intent of the Feast Day of Trumpets. The Feast represents the Intervention of God in the activities of mankind. This phase goes on through the development of the Church to the Advent and Millennial reign of Christ and the gathering of Israel.

Symbolism of the Day of Trumpets
The New Moon of the Seventh Month, later named Tishri, is the Day of Trumpets. It is traditionally taken as representing the Return of the Messiah, but it is much more than that. It represents the intervention of God in the Last Days, at the end of the Age and the commencement of the period in prophecy that is detailed in the texts of Daniel Chapter 12. It should not be taken to indicate that Messiah will return at Trumpets. It is also equally or more probable that he will return at Passover, some 1264 days after the Witnesses are sent by God, as we see so specifically detailed in prophecy.
