Man Threatens Passengers with Live Snake, Extorts Money

Panic gripped passengers aboard the Ahmedabad–Sabarmati Express when a man allegedly carried a live snake and began extorting money from commuters. The incident occurred between Mungaoli and Bina junctions in Madhya Pradesh.

A video recorded by a passenger shows the man waving the snake and threatening travelers as he moved through the compartment. Terrified passengers reportedly handed over cash, while some abandoned their seats fearing a snake bite.

The incidents have sparked serious concerns about passenger safety on long-distance trains, particularly in areas with limited security.

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) have registered cases and initiated investigations. Authorities are working to identify the accused and verify whether the snakes involved were venomous.
