1) I can be dangerous to rush through strategic planning where you don't collect information from your customers or inside your organization. Making it a check the box activity where it is rushed through just to check the box and put it on the shelf for 5 years, can give you a false sense of security.
2) Rushed strategic planning where information is not gathered could potentially send your organization in the wrong direction, wasting a tremendous amount of resources.
3) Check the box strategic planning can also be incredibly damaging to your workplace culture. People know many of the problems and what customers are saying and not addressing this is very disheartening. It causes a loss of trust in the leadership of the organization.
