Ukrainians are shelling all large and small ammunition depots from Donetsk all the way to the front line in Pokrovsk. Due to the lack of ammunition for Russian soldiers fighting on the front line, Ukrainian units are able to skillfully exploit these weaknesses and seize the initiative, Euromaidan Press reports.
Ukrainian strikes have paralyzed the supply of Russian weapons in the Pokrovsk direction, with multiple confirmed hits on key ammunition depots throughout the region. In Donetsk, a series of powerful explosions shook the city after Ukrainian long-range drones penetrated Russian defenses. Air defense systems were working in advance, smoke trails were visible in the sky, but they were unable to intercept the incoming strikes.
Secondary explosions continued for hours, providing clear evidence that hundreds of tons of ammunition were igniting and vaporizing.
In at least two different parts of Donetsk, individual plumes of smoke confirmed that several warehouses had been hit, leaving no doubt that Ukrainian reconnaissance and precision guidance had hit their target.
Salidov was also unharmed: here the local base and warehouse were engulfed in flames, while ammunition exploded uncontrollably.
In the background, a stunned soldier muttered that all hell had begun, summing up the chaos that had unfolded after the warehouse explosion, Euromaidan Press reported.
Salidov had long been used as a central logistics hub due to its size and relative concealment for Russian soldiers in the Pokrovskoye sector. It had now become a death trap for Russian supplies due to its proximity to the front line, which is about 20 km away.
Ukrainian forces have carried out precision strikes, underscoring that there are no safe spots behind Pokrovsk, despite the fact that the Russian command believed they had relative security thanks to the existing buildings. The Donetsk-Yasynovaty-Khorlivka railway triangle, combined with the Avdiivka-Ogaretyn road corridor, has always been a lifeline for Russia’s advance on Pokrovsk, Euromaidan Press reports.

By attacking depots in this network, Ukrainian units are forcing Russia to distribute ammunition across smaller storage facilities and rely on last-minute convoys that are much easier to intercept.

With Salidov now burning, Russia has no safe ammunition hub south of Pokrovsk, meaning that deliveries must be made over longer, more fuel-intensive routes, often over poor road conditions and under the influence of drones and artillery.
Every strike on Yasinuvate or Donetsk is immediately felt on the front lines of the Donetsk-Khorlivka railway triangle. Due to the immediate rationing of shells, weaker counter-battery fire, and slower and less coordinated attacks.

Ukrainian drones, constantly scanning the terrain, fire on convoys, repair depots, and ammunition storage facilities, ensuring the instability of the Russian logistical flow as supplies are rerouted, Euromaidan Press reports.

This vulnerability translates directly into opportunities for the Ukrainians on the battlefield. When Russian units cannot provide sufficient fire support, Ukrainian forces are given windows to rotate, reinforce, or counterattack with less risk.

Analysts have estimated that recent strikes on Donetsk alone have destroyed several hundred tons of shells, a loss that cannot be quickly replenished, given Russia’s already stretched industrial base and vulnerable supply chain.
