Resident Evil 7 - Part 33

I loved this game. I effortlessly sunk about 50 hours into it. It was the scariest game I played in a long time and breathed fresh life into the RE franchise for me. I can't wait to jump into RE Village.

Continuing my rant on difficulty settings from my last post, I'll just add that games that allow for difficulty changes on the fly or skippable bosses deprive players of the satisfaction of overcoming a challenge. I understand that players can choose to ignore those options, but simply having them there means less players will get the intentional crafted experience the developers have created.

It also might encourage the developers to be lazy and simply throw yellow paint everywhere and create pallet swapped enemies that simply deal more damage. Why bother fine tuning difficulty experiences that feel fair and demand more of the player if the player can just decrease the difficulty at the first sign of trouble?
