Zelenskyy holds meetings in New York ahead of UN General Assembly to rally support for Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is meeting with international leaders on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York to bolster support for Ukraine. According to the Associated Press, Zelensky met with U.S. Special Envoy to Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg on Monday, ahead of an expected meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump. Zelensky said he briefed Kellogg on the situation on the front lines and discussed aspects of cooperation between Ukraine and the United States on drones and the purchase of American weapons. He also met with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The Ukrainian president wrote on his social media page that during the meeting they “discussed in detail the efforts of Ukraine, the United States, Europe and other partners in the world to end this war and stop the killings.” Zelensky also met with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and invited him to Ukraine.
