Why Does the Left Fear Prayer

Want to see someone with "Left" leaning beliefs be really uncomfortable - tell them that you want to pray with them. Since the death of Charlie Kirk, more and more conversations about religion and prayer emerged. Many conservatives embrace religion and make it a part of their lives. However, many on the Left view religion and prayer counter to their beliefs. Why are they not embracing these beliefs that have been around nearly forever?
