Fearless Debates, a group led by Cam Hibgy and David Khait, showed up at Tennessee State University, an HBCU in Nashville, wearing MAGA hats and hosting a Charlie Kirk-style debate. Their topics? ‘DEI should be illegal’ and ‘deport all illegals now.’ While they claim they were there in hopes to debate, some students called it provocation. After students escalated tensions with jeering and heckling, campus police eventually escorted them off campus.

In the wake of Charlie Kirk’s death, several HBCUs received bomb threats. At a time of extreme division, are groups like this testing HBCUs, provoking conflict, and creating scenes for clicks?
