Another Miracle of the Yom Kippur War of 1973

In 1973, Israel’s survival hung by a thread. On Yom Kippur, Arab armies launched a surprise attack. As Israel’s supplies ran dangerously low, help came from the most unlikely source: Richard Nixon.

Privately, Nixon was recorded making antisemitic remarks. Publicly, he made the call that saved Israel. He ordered the U.S. military to “send everything that can fly,” launching Operation Nickel Grass — the airlift that resupplied Israel and turned the war. He even put America on DEFCON 3 to stop the Soviets from intervening.

This is the story of how God can use even the unwilling, even the prejudiced, to protect His people. Another miracle of the Yom Kippur War.
