Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds - Launch Trailer

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is the new kart racer from Sonic Team and Sega and it’s getting a lot of positive buzz. It currently has an ‘Overwhelmingly Positive’ user rating on Steam right now with system requirements on PC that are very reasonable. Meaning, even if you have an old rig, you should be able to run CrossWorlds just fine.

CrossWorlds has 24 tracks, 23 different racers, and 45 vehicles to take into Grand Prix, Time Trial, and Race Park modes. The ‘CrossWorlds’ hook is when you’re transported to a different Sega world for part of the race, not to mention there are character cameos from other games such as Persona, Minecraft, Spongebob, and others. There are a multitude of customization options for your vehicle including the return of the Monster Truck. Twelve-player online and local multiplayer round out the package for replayablity.

This might be the best Sonic kart racer ever with its largest roster, and considering the current state of Mario Kart World for Switch 2, it might be the best new kart racer on any platform in years. Sega seems to be aware of this as they’ve even taken shots at Mario Kart World’s open-world in one of their ads for CrossWorlds.

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is out now for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
