Will You Make It to Heaven For Being a Good Christian?

The life of a believer in Christ and follower of the Christian faith is generally defined by acceptance of the gospel message of salvation through God’s only begotten Son, adherence to the teachings of the biblical Messiah and his appointed apostles, and anticipation of the return of the Lord from heaven who will gather his people together to enter into his everlasting kingdom.

There is, however, a vitally important distinction that must be made between being saved as a believer in Christ and living as a follower of the Christian faith. These are not equivalents in that a believer can be saved without faithful adherence to observances of the Christian faith, but an observer of the Christian faith might very well not be saved though observing its principles while being unconverted in acceptance of the truth of gospel salvation.
