Hamas operatives attempted to launch an anti-aircraft missile at an Israeli Air Force helicopter

Hamas operatives attempted to launch an anti-aircraft missile at an Israeli Air Force helicopter over Gaza City earlier today, the military says.

According to the IDF, the missile failed, and the chopper was not hit. No damage or injuries were caused in the incident.

"The helicopter continued its mission of assisting the combat troops in the area," the military adds.

Hamas have at times tried to attack Israeli aircraft with shoulder-launched missiles.
