Condemnation Without Consequence: Canada Can’t Mourn Victims While Legitimizing Murderers

On September 8, two Hamas gunmen opened fire on a bus in Jerusalem, murdering six innocent Israelis and wounding 21 more.

While global leaders denounced the attack, including Canada’s, the Canadian government is only days away from legitimizing the very forces behind it by recognizing a Palestinian state. You cannot mourn victims one day and legitimize their killers the next. Doing so sends a dangerous message: that terrorism pays.
