Flying the HolyStone HS720G at 1k ft. (live feed recording)

Screen recording of my HolyStone HS720G Drone, flying 1k ft. into the clouds. I took this video a while back, when I was in Granite Falls, Washington.
I end up losing the signal between the remote and the drone temporarily while at 718ft H, 604ft D. This sort of thing has happened before (though not common).... But this is the longest it's taken for the remote to regain it's connection with the drone. I'm thinking it could have something to do with the weather? It was a bit cloudy, with some atmospheric pressure that day. I haven't experienced any serious connection issues before then, or since. But, it's still just another reason I've been thinking about upgrading to another drone. I LOVE this Holystone HS720G drone, don't get me wrong.... But, I originally bought this drone as a "beginner". Something that I could play around with, and learn a few things on, while also getting some decent quality videos. I'd have to say that this drone has definitely done that. I've had it now, for a few years (about 3).
But, with all that being said, I'd like to eventually get a drone with a few more added features. Like obstacle avoidance. Though it's not something I would usually need, I feel like it could be helpful at times. Especially when I'm flying down at the river, or somewhere that has a limited takeoff /landing zone, due to obstructions, like buildings, trees, or other vegetation. I'd also like something with a little better quality video. Maybe 8k? Better connection? Either a hardwired controller (connects wire directly to phone/device), or a controller with live feed screen built-in (no phone/device needed). I've had a good experience with HolyStone drones thus far, with only minimal issues. If possible, I'll stick with HolyStone.... Otherwise, I might be looking at a DJI? Since I'm not in the biggest hurry, I'm able to shop around, and look for the best deals. Who knows, I might just wait till after Thanksgiving, and checkout the black Friday sales?
Anyway, I hope y'all enjoyed watching this video. Because I had fun creating it.
