Construction was expected to begin by late March 2025.The shopping center itself was a small commercial hub hosting these businesses alongside the theater.

The redevelopment has sparked local concern, particularly regarding traffic and safety, as the area is a critical evacuation route during wildfires. Critics, like local resident Steve Hess, argued that the project’s location could exacerbate risks, and some residents opposed the “apartmentification” of Agoura Hills, citing loss of local control due to state laws incentivizing affordable housing with density bonuses.
