Part 8 of Lords of the Fallen turns the difficulty dial up to 100. From the very start it’s nothing but non-stop action — and the game keeps surprising me with brutal deaths. I fall at least three times this run, but I don’t give up, and by the end I finally take down The Ruiner.

Expect chaos, close calls, and one of the most satisfying victories so far.
