17-Year-Old Shot and Kidnapped by Four Hispanic Males in Florida, AMBER Alert Issued

Yesterday at 4:15 PM EDT, 17-year-old Caden Speight was shot and abducted by four Hispanic males in a light-colored van in Marion County, FL (12800 block of SW Highway 484).

Speight, a white male, 6 feet, 150 pounds, with brown hair and eyes, was last seen in blue jeans and a white T-shirt.

He texted his mother, saying the suspects were identified as Hispanic based on the text message sent by Caden Speight to his mother moments after the shooting, in which he stated: "Mom, I’m shot… I need help. 4 Hispanics in a white van—one driver." His work truck and broken phone were found at the scene.

A UPS driver reported seeing the van. An AMBER Alert is active, and Speight is considered in imminent danger. Contact FDLE at 1-888-356-4774 or MCSO at (352) 732-9111 with tips. Do not approach suspects.
