Howdy folks! Let's try something a little different today. I've been getting back into paper folding lately in an effort to beef up my origami chops before I attempt to fold the dreaded PEGACORN. In this video I demonstrate how to fold a paper turtle. I plan on making a series of these videos. I haven't folded in YEARS and let me tell you, it feels GREAT to be back at it again! Welcome back to Later Days ORIGAMI! Today we're folding an eagle. I was searching for some good "eagle music" and then the answer was obvious. The Hobbit! This triumphant theme plays during the Great Eagle rescue in the 1977 animated classic. Enjoy! Special thanks to John Montroll who designed this magestic model. It comes from his excellent book Animal Origami for the Enthusiast, a must have for any origami lover. Thanks also to the late great Glenn Yarbrough who composed and performed the music for The Hobbit. And thanks as well to Howard Shore for his incredible score to Peter Jackson's Return of the King which plays briefly during the intro.

Welcome back to Later Days ORIGAMI! Today we're folding a pheasant. This is an intermediate fold but is has some extremely tricky moments such as the feet and the head. Of course I had Mrs. Pheasant monitoring me the whole time so maybe that helped. MAYBE. Special thanks to John Montroll who designed this beautiful model. It comes from his excellent book BIRDS IN ORGAMI, a must have for any lover of origami and birds. Thanks also to Jared Ellsworth for his incredible musical composition which adds so much to the experience. This particular song is entitled "Yew" and it is from the remake of the game Ultima 5, also known as "Lazarus". I was unable to find a picture of Jared for the credits, but the credit is all his and he has my unending thanks and gratitude.
