After years of litigation, Franklin Armory won a court case about the Antithesis earlier this year, with the judge ruling that it is not regulated by the NFA and should be classified as a firearm.

The ATF settled with Franklin Armory and agreed, but then they tried releasing a new Antithesis model in 5.56, which the ATF believes is still an SBR even with the previous ruling and settlement.
