Ingraham: “Sol, Hakeem Jeffries weighed in this afternoon top democratic leadership. Listen closely, unless I’m missing something, it seems like there is someone who is above the law. Watch.”

Jeffries: “Donald Trump and the administration continues to weaponize the Department of Justice. And go after perceived political enemies in a manner that’s inconsistent with the rule of law in the United States of America. It’s outrageous.”

Ingraham: “Sol?”

WISENBERG: “You know, Bill Barr once said about Jim Comey, he not only thinks he’s the smartest person in the room. He thinks he the holiest person in the room. That’s kind of the problem with him. He thinks everybody who disagrees with him is a reprobate. He ended up up conflating himsel with the law just like j. edgar hoover. The statement by Jeffries you just read makes absolutely no sense to me. I will tell you something else, they are going to go after him, obviously they will file motion for vindictive and selective prosecution. Those will either work or they won’t. But Comey reminds me a lot, historically, I’m going back in history, alger hits, if you remember the great debate between alger his and whitaker chambers. Alger his was the witty Supreme Court clerk and Richard Nixon who was an up and coming congressman actually literally urged the New York federal grand jury to indict alger his so there were certainly all kinds of improper statements there by him. But he was indicted and, guess what? It went to a jury and he was convicted of perjury. So we’re going to let the facts determine what happens here. But, make no mistake about it. This will be a difficult prosecution and we still don’t know for sure who person number 3 is. We think it’s McCabe in the indictment. But we don’t know for sure. There is going to be what is called a bill of particulars filed and the government will have to provide more information. So stay tuned.”
