His Agony Became Our Joy – Psalms 21+22

Significant portions of the Psalms are devoted to praising God for who he is and what he has done. All of mankind should praise Jehovah whether they submit to Christ or not. He is owed that much. But for those of us who have surrendered to Jesus, there is joy and happiness that goes along with that praise. We shouldn't be bending the knee in praise out of duty, but out of gratitude. We can rejoice and be glad because of what Jesus has done. His agony on the cross became our eternal joy when we believed the gospel.
