What Makes Chapter 2 of The Strangers DIFFERENT From Chapter 1

The Strangers chapter 2 is a a little better than Chapter 1, the movie adds a little more lore to the our 3 killers of the franchise although I'm wondering how this trilogy leads us into the 2008 movie.
