Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held bilateral discussions with world leaders on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly session in New York Wednesday. According to Associated Press the Ukrainian leader discussed strengthening his country's air defense and “Russia’s escalation against European countries" with French President Emmanuel Macron, according to Zelenskyy's press office. His meeting with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte focused on the purchase of U.S. weapons and Russia’s violations of NATO member countries’ airspace, the press office added.
