Asslamoalaikqum Sisters, Brothers, Friends and elders :
We welcom to you in our series of Statements. And today's
is statement number 44. And we will be describe in this that: ( How does Surah Yunus explain the Day of Judgment ) So sisters, brothers friends and elders, Our aim is to learn and teach from the Quran and Sunnah, reflect on history, and seek solutions to problems with divine guidance. May Allah Almighty make our this statement beneficial and a source of light for all hearts.

Surah Yunus is the tenth chapter of the Holy Quran, revealed in Makkah, and it presents fundamental truths about faith, guidance, and the Hereafter. Among its key themes is the vivid description of the Day of Judgment. This Surah provides a powerful reminder of the accountability of mankind and the ultimate return to Allah. It emphasizes that the Day of Judgment is an undeniable reality where justice will be established, truth will be made clear, and every soul will be rewarded or punished according to its deeds. The way Surah Yunus discusses this great day awakens the heart, strengthens faith, and prepares believers for the eternal life to come.

The Surah begins by highlighting the authority of the Quran itself, describing it as a book full of wisdom. This wisdom includes the message of the Hereafter. Allah declares in Surah Yunus verse 3 that He is the One who created the heavens and the earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne, directing all affairs. This verse points to His complete control over creation and the certainty that He will bring all of creation to judgment. The link between Allah’s creative power and His ability to resurrect mankind for accountability is central to the message of the Surah.

One of the important ways Surah Yunus explains the Day of Judgment is by emphasizing that no one has power to intercede except with Allah’s permission. In Surah Yunus verse 18, Allah mentions how the disbelievers worship idols and claim that these idols will intercede for them. However, on the Day of Judgment such false hopes will vanish. This teaches us that salvation cannot come through false gods or intermediaries, but only through true faith in Allah and righteous deeds. It also stresses that accountability is individual, and no false belief can protect a person from Allah’s judgment.

The Surah also presents the scenes of regret faced by disbelievers. In Surah Yunus verse 54, Allah describes how the wrongdoers, if they possessed all that is in the earth, would try to ransom themselves with it on the Day of Judgment, but it would not be accepted from them. This verse highlights the seriousness of accountability and the reality that no wealth, power, or worldly influence can save a person on that Day. Only sincere belief and good deeds will matter.

Another vivid description is given in Surah Yunus verse 45, where Allah says that on the Day of Resurrection it will seem to the people as though they had not remained in the world longer than an hour of the day. This shows the shortness of worldly life compared to the eternal Hereafter. The verse further emphasizes that all will be gathered, and those who denied the meeting with Allah will be the true losers. The imagery used here helps believers understand that this worldly life is only temporary, while the Hereafter is everlasting.

The Quran repeatedly links belief in the Day of Judgment with moral responsibility. In Surah Yunus verse 26, Allah promises that those who do good will have the best reward and even more. Their faces will shine with no darkness or humiliation, and they will dwell in Paradise forever. In contrast, those who earn evil will be surrounded by punishment and will have no protector against Allah. This clear distinction shows that the Day of Judgment is not only about accountability but also about perfect justice, where good and evil are repaid fully.

The Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him reinforced this teaching in many Hadith. In Sahih Muslim Hadith number 2968, the Prophet said that on the Day of Judgment, the sun will be brought near to the people, and they will be drenched in sweat according to their deeds, some up to their ankles, others up to their knees, others up to their waists, and some even up to their mouths. This hadith illustrates the intensity of the Day of Judgment and how accountability will be based on each individual’s actions. It perfectly reflects the Quranic descriptions in Surah Yunus of how people’s fates will differ based on their belief and deeds.

Another lesson emphasized in Surah Yunus is that the judgment of Allah will be final and absolute. In verse 109, the Prophet is commanded to follow what is revealed and to remain patient until Allah gives His judgment, for He is the best of judges. This verse is a reminder that in this life, judgments may be delayed, but on the Day of Judgment, Allah will decide every matter with perfect justice. There will be no appeal, no corruption, and no delay in His decree.

The Surah also teaches that the Day of Judgment will expose the truth. In Surah Yunus verse 28, Allah says that when He gathers them all together, He will say to the partners that the disbelievers used to associate with Him, “Stay in your place, you and your partners.” Then they will be separated, and the false gods will deny that they were ever worshiped. This verse highlights that the illusions of this world will be shattered, and the reality of Tawheed will be made clear. On that day, the false beliefs of disbelievers will collapse, and only the truth of Allah’s Oneness will stand.

In conclusion, Surah Yunus explains the Day of Judgment as a day of absolute truth, justice, and finality. It reminds mankind that life is temporary, that every deed counts, and that no one can escape accountability. The Surah calls believers to prepare for this day with faith, patience, and righteous deeds. By reflecting on its verses, one is reminded that the Day of Judgment is not a distant story but a certain reality that awaits every soul. As Allah says in Surah Yunus verse 102, the fate of the disbelievers in the past is a warning for those who deny the truth today. The wise are those who take heed, turn to Allah, and live their lives in preparation for the eternal meeting with their Lord.

We conclude today's discourse with our this humble supplication: O Allah, purify our hearts, accept our deeds, forgive our sins, and include us among Your grateful servants. Amen
