🌎 A Modern Prayer for Our Time

A Prayer for Today

Our Father in heaven,

We pray that You save us from ourselves.

The world You gave us to live in peace, we have filled with noise, division, and fear. We live in anxiety of conflict and collapse. We fear not only the weapons of war, but the corruption of truth, the lies spread in daylight, the disease of hatred in hearts, and the destruction of hope in our homes.

We have turned from You to chase selfish desires. We have broken Your commandments and denied Your truth. We have bowed at the altars of money, pride, technology, and power.

Forgive us and help us.

Darkness gathers around us, and confusion reigns. In losing faith in You, we have lost faith in each other.

Inspire us with wisdom, people of every nation, color, and creed, to use our voices for truth, our resources for justice, and our strength to lift up our neighbors instead of destroying them. Help us to do Your will as it is in heaven, and to walk worthy of Your promise of peace on earth. Fill us with new faith, new strength, and new courage, that we may stand against corruption and win the battle for truth and peace.

Be swift to save us, Lord, before the darkness falls.
