Paul's Elders

Paul appointed men to organize home fellowships in different regions. He sent Timothy to Ephesus and Titus to Crete. There were probably others that we don't know about. These men appointed elders for each of the fellowships in their regions and instructed them to "command and teach". There was a hierarchy from the home fellowship elders to the regional elders to Paul, but even Paul was submitted to James and Peter in Jerusalem who were submitted to one another as well as to Yeshua.

God's people are orderly and submitted to spiritual authority, but no one is qualified to be an authority without himself being submitted to an authority.

And he sat down and called the twelve. And he said to them, “If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.”
