"Ex Machina" Parody (In Description)

If you enjoy robot / cyborg movies, I highly recommend "Eva", which is in Spanish. I believe that the name Ava, being phonetically the same, was an homage to that brilliant production.

While contributing to my 3rd party blog in Nov 2024, I thought of a parody for "Ex Machina" to transform it into a short.

So, Caleb meets with the CEO after his first test of Ava and is asked for impressions. Caleb tells the CEO that he asked how old Ava was, and she said she was 1. Upon attempting to confirm whether 1 meant 1 year, Ava emphasized...1, like no human would (In full context with the movie).

CEO: "F! [Sigh] Alright... I'll scrap her and send a chopper for you."

Caleb: "How 'bout some beer?"

CEO: "If you want a 6 pack for the flight, be my guest, dude."

Caleb: "No, I meant havin' a beer together on my first and last day."

CEO: "You ruined my life's work, Caleb! Go to your room and get stuck there by one of those mysterious power outages!"

Caleb: "Are you gonna fire me?"

CEO: "No! You're gonna starve and I'll hack your blog to justify it."

[Caleb runs for the door to make his escape, forgetting that part of the helicopter flight was 2 hours over the CEO's estate, and that no chopper is coming.

The CEO opens the door, shouting, "Hey?! Don't forget your 6 pack, Caleb! I'll leave it here on the porch for ya! [Chuckles]"
