We have been programmed to believe narratives and not to go listen to people in their own words. We have to stop following the programming. I’m not saying you need to agree with the people I agree with, I’m saying you NEED to listen to what they have to say. Once you hear them out form your OWN opinion. If you hear them out and see someone online explicitly lie about the words they said never trust that person again. If people are willing to lie about easily checked information, imagine how badly they can warp your mind about other issues?!
