On the Friday Night Rant, several delegates who attended the Republican Party Platform Convention reported on their progress. They believed that the new platform was a watered-down version of the conservative ideology, and they wanted to add issue-specific planks to the platform. Their big complaint was that they believed the 2023 Platform was better and should remain current.

The next day, there was a lot of tension and division in the party that heated up to the point where it is alleged one delegate assaulted another.

Chris Castleman and Michaela Hammerson were two of those delegates opposed to the watered-down version of the platform, and they witnessed most of the convention, including the alleged assault. Ben Edtl will also be joining the podcast.
